Khajuraho Tour Itinerary

Day 01- arrival in delhi airport check in the hotel over night.

Day 02- departure to airport/early mourning train to jhansi station onward journey to khajuraho over night stay.

Day 03- full day visit of the khajuraho temples.

Day 04- excursion of the ranesh water fall & local folk dance in the evening over night stay.

Day 05- drive to Hammeer Garhi palance & enjoy the lunch in the middle of the lake and evening local visit of the naturel Indian life style over night in the palace.

It is built in eco-rural backdrop of a beautiful and culturally vibrant village – Basari.

the name of “Hammeer Dev” - one of the commanders in the royal army of great medieval King “Chhatrasaal” who carved out an independent kingdom of Bundelkhand defying the authority of mighty and much dreaded Mughal emperor of India – Aurangzeb. Under royal patronage of King Chhatrasaal, Hammeer Dev founded this garhi (residential mini-fortress) some 350 years back and started a settlement around it, later to be called ‘Basari’, i.e., the place where people settled.

The place by virtue of its easy accessibility, wilderness, old world charm, picture post card set up, three lakes, surrounding barren lands, forests and hillocks, etc, is unique in itself and gives the feel of India in its truest essence.

Day 06- drive from Hammeer garhi to Alipura palce enjoy the lunch in the hetitage resort & afternoon visit the alipur palace

palace is over 300 years old and it’s present residential area was built over a century ago. Extensive reconstruction has given this historical location a new lease on life. It is the perfect place to discover more about the Royal Bundelkhandi past with historical souvenirs decorating the walls.

Day 07- Early breakfast at hotel, followed drive to orchha by car transfer Sightseeing of Orchha OR WALK AROUND THE TOWN - Sightseeing of Orchha to include Jahangir Mahal - an impressive museum, Rajmahal - the palace of superb murals, Phool Bagh Later enjoy the heritage hotel stay over night.

Day 08-after breakfast drive to agra( about 4 hours drive) visit the magnificient Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders of the world surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife.Also visit the Red fort - the rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience),a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back, the Emperor heard public petitions. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Night stay in Agra.

Day 09- mourning train to delhi & Afternoon visit Qutab Minar ,India Gate and Red fort the departure to Int. airport.( Tours End)
